Apriso Reports Record Revenues for First Quarter 2008 with 49% Year-Over-Year Growth
Software quarterly revenue grew 55%, supported by accelerated interest in enterprise manufacturing operations management solutions
(LONG BEACH, CA – April 23, 2008) – Apriso, a leading provider of adaptive software solutions for global manufacturing operations management, today announced the completion of another record quarter, as evidenced by 49% year-over-year quarterly total revenue growth. First quarter 2008 revenues represent the fourth consecutive record-breaking quarter for the software and services provider, placing the company on track to achieve its 2008 sales and profitability objectives. The growth was accomplished while the firm improved its operating margins by nearly 15%, attributed directly to the success of the company’s long-term expansion plans.
“I am extremely pleased with our 55% growth in software revenues for the first quarter, highlighted by three net new customers making enterprise decisions for Apriso. We view this growth as further validation of our leadership in deploying manufacturing operations execution systems at a strategic enterprise application level,” commented Jim Henderson, president and CEO of Apriso. “Growth was evident across all of our core geographic regions, including Europe, Asia and the Americas, and within all of our targeted industry verticals, including Automotive, Mill Products, Consumer Goods, Aerospace & Defense and Life Sciences.”
Customer Activity
Eight ‘go-lives’ were completed during the first quarter 2008 throughout all geographic regions, including three in the Japanese market. Notable enterprise deployments with milestone ‘go lives’ include MBDA, an aerospace and defense leader and Volvo Construction Equipment. British American Tobacco’s decision to implement FlexNet® within their South Africa operations represents the 41st country where a FlexNet application has been sold. In addition, 30 existing customer sites expanded their FlexNet implementations in the first quarter with additional applications.
New Partnerships
Integral to Apriso’s global expansion is the continued growth of its global consulting and deployment partners. In January, Apriso announced that it had formed a regional partnership with Hewlett-Packard Japan (HP), supporting Apriso’s expansion into the Japanese manufacturing market. In March, a partnership with AICOMP was announced, helping to accelerate the delivery of FlexNet for Packaging Manufacturers.
Product Updates
Functioning as a global platform for manufacturing operations excellence, FlexNet is being used by an increasing number of manufacturers to provide visibility, control and synchronization across their operations and supply chain infrastructures. During the first quarter 2008, two FlexNet solutions were launched, bringing extended functionality and industry best practices gained from a history of deployments within each of these industries:
- FlexNet for Consumer Goods – enabling faster global new product introductions while synchronizing production with their supply chain network
- FlexNet for Packaging Manufacturers – supporting quality improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives by improving operations performance and waste reduction, achieving sustainable operations
Industry Recognition
Apriso was recognized in the first quarter 2008 as “an influential manufacturing technology provider” by Start IT Magazine for the second consecutive year. The readers of Consumer Goods Technology magazine chose Apriso FlexNet as a ‘must have’ software application to reduce the time to global market for new product introductions. Inbound Logistics once again recognized FlexNet as an industry leading warehouse management and inventory logistics solution, awarding the company a preferred provider designation, announced in its April 2008 publication.
