Lead Software Engineer - US

Summary

Currently our Product Development & Research Department is seeking a new member to add to the growing team for the role of Lead Software Engineer. The Product Development & Research Department is key in researching technology used to build our unique enterprise software solution.

Essential Position Responsibilities:

The Lead Software Developer will have 5+ years of total professional experience and serves as the technical lead for one or more software products, product areas, or modules. Responsibilities include all those of a Senior Software Developer, in addition to the following:

  • Ability to independently serve as a Cell Lead
  • Has enough functional domain knowledge and experience to independently author and assist Product Managers in authoring functional and non-functional Requirements Specifications, and in leading the internal review and approval cycles for both Requirements Specifications and detailed designs (i.e., is fully able to do the job responsibilities of a Business Analyst)
  • Assists architect and management in refining the platform and technology strategy
  • Leads in at least two technology areas of strategic importance to Apriso by demonstrating and maintaining superior knowledge of underlying Microsoft or other underlying technologies and principles
  • Leads risk management analysis and mitigation efforts across an entire release or a across product areas

Essential Position Requirements:

  • 5+ years professional experience in software development of which at least three must be on Microsoft .NET and .NET platform
  • Have passed at least 1 Microsoft Certified Professional exam on .NET (highly desired)
  • Solid knowledge of the FlexNet system requirements and underlying architecture for assigned or owned product components
  • Has achieved excellence in the use of the tools and technologies with which the system and assigned components are built
  • Can translate functional requirements into a database design for either SQL Server or Oracle. This includes database definition, structuring well formed and optimal queries (sometimes requiring the use of native Oracle or TSQL syntax)
  • Has a good level of experience with database diagnostic tools and techniques
  • Demonstrable abilities in the area of object-oriented analysis and design techniques, and the Unified Modeling Language
  • Knows how designs relate to implementations, including the level of detail expected in a design before implementation may proceed

Education:

  • Four year college degree in a technical area, preferably computer science or information technologies
