FlexNet® Global Process Manager is a Business Process Lifecycle Management™ application that lets you easily manage, control and govern your business processes spanning manufacturing operations. This application enables you to accelerate new product introductions and increase time-to-volume production by integrating and managing operational data across your enterprise operations and supply chain network. Quite simply, it is designed to ensure that the right documents and work instructions are at the right place. With FlexNet Global Process Manager, you can manage process and product changes driven by design integrity, inventory, cost control, regulatory compliance or other criterion. The system can be configured for document control, and incorporates a two-level process with electronic signature control as needed.
This module has been expanded to leverage the latest BPM (business process management) technology, which can be managed as a lifecycle of business processes, to ensure current, best practice processes are in use at each appropriate location. Using Apriso’s proprietary process authoring capabilities embedded within the FlexNet platform, process owners can build ‘flows’ using a drag-and-drop interface, to then be deployed to specific work stations or throughout the enterprise, without any re-coding or bringing the system down.
Best practices can be developed and refined in one location, and then deployed to multiple other locations, quickly and easily. The process of updating business processes can be governed effectively and efficiently – across your global enterprise – with sufficient audit trail support to address the regulatory requirements for your specific industry. And, when you need to update configurations across your network of FlexNet deployments, Global Process Manager automatically gathers that data into electronic ‘packages,’ which are then distributed to each of your various FlexNet systems, making a once-tedious and time-consuming task simpler and easier.
Global Process Manager maintains a history on “as-designed,” “as-built,” “as-deployed,” and “as-maintained” data, and enables electronic revision control and approval while supporting global deployment of best practices. In addition, the system takes full advantage of FlexNet’s language and time zone globalization features and integrates with third-party PLM/PDM systems.
